I’m a Network Engineer by profession, born and raised in Sri Lanka \u2014 and this site is something I built in my spare time, simply because I love this island and I think more people, especially travelers from the UK, should know what it actually has to offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m not a travel agent and this isn’t a tour company. There’s no sales team behind this, no commission, no script. It’s just me, sharing the places, food, and experiences I genuinely think are worth crossing the world for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve lost count of how many conversations I’ve had with people abroad who picture Sri Lanka as “just another beach destination,” somewhere to file alongside Thailand or Bali without really knowing what sets it apart. And every time, I find myself wanting to show them \u2014 not just tell them \u2014 what a single day here can actually look like: a sunrise swim, lunch in misty hill country two hours later, and a quiet temple at sunset that’s stood for two thousand years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That gap, between how people imagine Sri Lanka and what it’s really like, is the entire reason this site exists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m building this out gradually, alongside my day job, but the goal is simple: real locations worth visiting, organized by what you actually want to do (beaches, wildlife, culture, adventure), videos that show rather than just describe, and travel tips drawn from a local’s perspective rather than a brochure’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You’ll also find a gallery of photos shared by fellow travelers \u2014 if you’ve been and have a shot you’re proud of, I’d love for you to add it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because I’m not selling anything, I have no reason to oversell Sri Lanka either. If somewhere isn’t worth your time, I won’t pretend it is. My only real goal is that if you do decide to visit, you arrive with the right expectations and leave wondering why you didn’t come sooner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
